Great eBay Score!

After much deliberation, I've made the decision to make all of Abigail's baby food rather than buy it. I've gone back and forth on this decision for months now trying to weigh the costs and benefits of both option. I finally came to the conclusion that since Mike and I still want more children, not to mention the fact that I'm a SAHM and have plenty of time to make my own babyfood now, the cost savings of doing it myself will be pretty substantial (I plan to use only organic fruits/veggies).

I then decided that I prefer to purchase the Beaba Babycook to a regular food processor. The price tag of $149.95 was a little off-putting, however, considering the fact that our family is now living on a fairly strict budget.


I've been attempting to scour eBay and Craigslist for some time now trying to find a great deal. Unfortunately, most were still well over $100 for a used model. NOT cool.

Finally, I found one on eBay yesturday for $89.99 NIB. The seller merely didn't have as much feedback as some of the other sellers although she had sold several baby items in the past and received excellent feedback on those items. I decided to trust her and purchased the Babycook. I've already heard from her and the Beaba is supposed to ship this afternoon.

I'm so excited! I'm now on a search for some food storage containers and will be checking out Half.com for some used baby cookbooks to get me started.

Only 2.5 more weeks until Abbey starts solids!
