I then decided that I prefer to purchase the Beaba Babycook to a regular food processor. The price tag of $149.95 was a little off-putting, however, considering the fact that our family is now living on a fairly strict budget.

I've been attempting to scour eBay and Craigslist for some time now trying to find a great deal. Unfortunately, most were still well over $100 for a used model. NOT cool.
Finally, I found one on eBay yesturday for $89.99 NIB. The seller merely didn't have as much feedback as some of the other sellers although she had sold several baby items in the past and received excellent feedback on those items. I decided to trust her and purchased the Babycook. I've already heard from her and the Beaba is supposed to ship this afternoon.
I'm so excited! I'm now on a search for some food storage containers and will be checking out Half.com for some used baby cookbooks to get me started.
Only 2.5 more weeks until Abbey starts solids!

What a great score! I too am planning to make all of my LO's baby food. Of course I've been eyeing the babycook, but I definitely can't justify the purchase since I have a perfectly good food processor! I can't wait to hear how it works out for you.
I just used regular ice cube trays and freezer bags to store my homemade baby food and it worked out great!
I want this SO bad but am having trouble with the 150 price tag. Can't wait to hear how much you love it!
First of all, your daughter is absolutely beautiful! I love the stickers you have for each month. I also make my own baby food, and it does save a TON of money (I calculated about $20 every 2 weeks) and I just use a mini-food processor. I can't wait to hear/read some of your baby food adventures and recipes!
