26 Weeks

Aside from the sleepness nights, the constant peeing, and leaking colostrum, I'm doing just fine. Mike and I were originally planning on painting the nursery this week, however, since I've been sick with a bad cold since last Thursday, we've postponed it until this weekend. I've only got 6 days left of the second trimester so I'm just trying to enjoy every minute of it.

Time to start kick counts!

From Baby Center this week, the network of nerves in our baby's ears is better developed and more sensitive than before. She may now be able to hear both my voice and Mike's as we chat with each other. She's inhaling and exhaling small amounts of amniotic fluid, which is essential for the development of her lungs. These so-called breathing movements are also good practice for when she's born and takes that first gulp of air. She's also continuing to put on baby fat and now weighs about a pound and two-thirds and measures 14 inches from head to heel.
